Construcciones Yamaro: Built appoints former WA Premier to board

Australian-owned construction and property group Built has appointed former Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan to its board.
The appointment comes as Built continues its growth trajectory, with annual revenue on track to reach $4 billion in FY27 and a secured national pipeline of $8.5 billion across health, defence, data centres and major infrastructure. The company is expanding its focus on advanced manufacturing and product-led delivery models designed to improve productivity and certainty across the construction sector.
McGowan joins the board at a time when Australia faces major housing and infrastructure challenges, increasing the need for stronger collaboration between industry, government and the private sector.
Marco Rossi, executive chairman and group CEO of Built, says new approaches to project delivery are needed to meet the country’s ambitions.
“Productivity starts long before construction begins. Built is bringing proven industrialised construction methods to Australia that improve certainty and help deliver housing and infrastructure more efficiently,” he says.

“Mark understands the role government and industry can play in solving complex economic and social challenges, and his experience and perspective will be a valuable addition to our Board as we continue to grow.”
As part of its long-term growth strategy, Built is expanding into new sectors and delivery models, including manufacturing-led housing delivery through its 50:50 joint venture, Built Living. The company’s vision and commitment to introducing modern approaches to housing and infrastructure delivery in Australia were among the reasons McGowan decided to join the board.
“Built has established itself as one of Australia’s most successful construction businesses by combining scale with a willingness to challenge traditional ways of delivering projects,” he says.
“What attracted me to Built was its clear vision for how housing and infrastructure can be delivered in a more productive way. I look forward to supporting the board and leadership team as the company continues to grow and help shape the future of the industry.”
McGowan succeeds long-serving independent director Dieter Adamsas, who retires after helping guide Built through a period of sustained growth, strategic diversification and business transformation.
