Melbourne Build Expo will return to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on 25 to 26 November 2026.

The construction and design event will bring thousands of industry professionals, government representatives, architects, engineers, developers, contractors and suppliers together for two days of conference sessions, exhibitions and networking.

For the first time, Melbourne Build will be co-located with InstallerSHOW Melbourne, The Fire Safety Event Australia and The Security Event Australia. Together, the four shows will connect construction, HVAC&R, fire safety and security professionals under one roof.

The combined event is expected to welcome more than 20,000 attendees, more than 350 exhibitors and more than 500 speakers.

Speaker highlights

As part of the conference program, Lord Mayor of Melbourne Nicholas Reece will join the panel discussion ‘Melbourne 2050: Designing a Global City for the Next Generation’, helping lead a conversation on the ideas, investment and collaboration needed to shape the city’s future.

“Melbourne is Australia’s largest and fastest-growing city, and our future depends on continued innovation, investment and development,” said Reece. “Events like Melbourne Build play an important role in bringing together the industry’s brightest minds, showcasing new technologies, and helping drive the conversations that will shape the homes, infrastructure and communities our growing city needs.”

The Lord Mayor will be joined by government and industry leaders discussing major projects, policy priorities, emerging technologies and opportunities for industry advancement.

Newly confirmed speakers include:

• Jill Riseley, deputy CEO at Infrastructure Victoria;
• Alison Dilger, director of sustainable systems at Aurecon;
• Ruth Wilson, principal at Architectus;
• Matthew Lee, executive director – co-head of Australian Data Centres at JLL;
• Frank McMahon, regional director at Multiplex;
• Nemesia Kennet, senior director at Development Victoria;
• Andrew Arendsen, group director – Transport VicSA at AECOM;
• Yazan Mughrabi, security practice lead at Google; and
• Sally Capp, chief strategy officer at Hickory.
