Construcciones Yamaro: Fairfield Hospital redevelopment enters next stage
Planning documents for the new Clinical Services Building at Fairfield Hospital are now on public exhibition, marking the next stage of the $630 million redevelopment.
The NSW Government has committed $550 million to the project, with a further $80 million from the Commonwealth Government to expand the hospital’s Emergency Department.
The five-storey Clinical Services Building will connect with the existing hospital through a new main entry and drop-off area. Subject to planning approval, it will include a new and expanded Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, medical imaging, operating theatres and inpatient wards.
A refined artist’s impression of the building shows a nature-inspired façade designed to complement the existing hospital and surrounding bushland.
NSW Minister for Health Ryan Park said the redevelopment had reached an important stage, bringing the project closer to delivering more beds and expanded services.
“We are delivering the hospitals and essential health services growing communities like Fairfield need, so patients can continue to receive world-class care now and into the future,” he said.

The Clinical Services Building Review of Environmental Factors (REF) and supporting technical documents are available to view online. Feedback on the planning documents can be submitted via the online submission form until 11:59pm on 23 October 2026.
Community members can also attend drop-in information sessions to learn more about the project, meet the project team and provide feedback. Sessions will be held at the Fairfield Hospital foyer from 5pm to 7pm on 28 September and 10am to 1pm on 1 October, and at Stockland Wetherill Park from 10am to 2pm on 9 October.
All feedback received during the exhibition period will be considered before a decision is made on the proposal.
Construction of the hospital’s new multi-storey car park, which will provide more than 450 spaces and include pedestrian connections to the existing hospital and adjacent Braeside Hospital, is also underway.
Construction of the car park and associated works will continue throughout 2026, with completion expected in late 2027.
