Over 80 per cent of the waste materials from the demolition of Central Pier are being repurposed in construction and manufacturing throughout Victoria. To date, around 10,000 tonnes of steel, concrete, bricks, timber and electronic waste from the pier have been recycled by Victorian-based companies.
