Construcciones Yamaro: DT Infrastructure wins contract to deliver Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm
DT Infrastructure has been awarded the full Balance of Plant scope for the Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm project in the Mid North region of South Australia.
The 256-megawatt utility-scale wind farm, developed by Aula Energy and Renewable Project Services, is located 180 kilometres north of Adelaide and is scheduled to commence construction in early 2026, with operations expected to begin in late 2028.
DT Infrastructure chief executive officer John Anderson said the company is proud to contribute to such an important project and to once again be partnering with Aula Energy.
“We are proud to be delivering critical renewables infrastructure that will support a clean energy future, create local jobs and provide long-term benefits to surrounding communities,” said Anderson.
“This milestone also cements an important partnership for the business, once again collaborating with Aula Energy to deliver another major wind farm. Using our delivery experience from the Boulder Creek Wind Farm project, currently in delivery, we can leverage insights and drive efficiencies on Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm.”

With 42 wind turbines, the project will become a new source of clean energy capable of powering more than 195,000 South Australian homes. It will also generate economic benefits to the region, including the creation of 300 jobs during construction.
Chad Hymas, CEO of Aula Energy, welcomed the announcement.
“We’re pleased to be partnering once again with DT Infrastructure to deliver Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm,” said Hymas.
“At Aula Energy, we’re building enduring partnerships to lead Australia’s energy transition, faster, smarter and with shared value for all. With the support of our partners, we’re committed to delivering a project that creates meaningful, long-term benefits for the Nukunu People, local communities, shareholders and the sector.”
This contract award follows an early contractor involvement (ECI) early works program to support project planning, preliminary engineering, geotechnical studies, environmental assessments and technical investigations needed to advance the project’s design.
Carmody’s Hill Wind Farm has been shaped through consultation with regional industry, local businesses and community stakeholders. Engagement programs are already underway to drive procurement opportunities, workforce participation and sustained economic benefits for the region throughout both the construction and operational phases.
The project team will begin mobilising in anticipation of commencing works at the start of 2026.
