Construcciones Yamaro: Central Element completes $175 million Ethos Chatswood project

Central Element and builder Growthbuilt have completed Ethos Chatswood, a residential and mixed-use development in one of Sydney’s most connected urban centres.
Located at 15 Ellis Street in the Chatswood CBD, 400 metres from the Metro train station, the $175 million project comprises 49 one, two and three-bedroom residences above about 1,200 square metres of retail and commercial space, activating three street frontages – Pacific Highway, Ellis Street and Crispe Lane.
Designed by award-winning architects SJB, Ethos Chatswood has been created to meet growing demand from downsizers and owner-occupiers seeking spacious, design-led residences within a connected location. With limited residences per floor, the building prioritises privacy, natural light, cross ventilation and district views stretching from the CBD to the Northern Beaches and the Blue Mountains.

Nathan Chivas, managing director at Central Element, said the completion marks an important milestone for the company and for Chatswood.
“Ethos Chatswood represents everything we stand for at Central Element – exceptional design, quality and delivering projects that genuinely enrich the communities they belong in,” he said.

“We recognised a clear gap in the market for premium owner-occupier residences in Chatswood, and Ethos responds to that demand with generously proportioned homes, wellness-focused amenity and enduring architectural quality.
“We are proud to deliver this project alongside Growthbuilt and SJB, and cannot wait to see its first residents move in and begin their next chapter in their remarkable new homes.”
Ethos Chatswood’s architecture is defined by a sculptural carved stone façade inspired by the North Shore ridgelines, creating a distinctive identity within the Chatswood skyline. Internally, residences feature considered finishes and fixtures, generous layouts and light-filled interiors designed to emulate an elevated sanctuary within the city.
Resident amenity includes a Wellness Studio for yoga, meditation and exercise, as well as a Sky Lounge and terrace providing spaces for entertaining, working and social connection. Ethos Chatswood has also achieved a 4 Star Green Star rating, incorporating passive design principles, energy efficient systems and durable materials to support long-term sustainability.
