The company was selected through a competitive tender process to deliver the new purpose-built facility, which will offer essential health services for the local community. This $140 million, 27-storey development is being delivered by developer ODUS in partnership with builder Nazero, with completion expected in late 2026. Located at 3580 Main Beach Parade, just 68 steps from the beach, La Mer occupies a 751-square-metre site acquired in May. Construction began in July 2024. Designed by Plus Architecture, La Mer will offer 22 three-bedroom apartments, each featuring a multipurpose room and spanning 300 square metres. At the pinnacle of the development will be a two-storey penthouse, covering 600 square metres, which will be released to market at a later date. Al Crosby, general manager for Victoria and South Australia at BESIX Watpac, credited the project’s success to the dedication of local subcontractors. “The pace of this project has been phenomenal since day one – our team worked closely with 40 local subcontractors to ensure rapid delivery and a quality outcome to enable SAPOL to do what they do best, sooner,” said Crosby.
