Armando Iachini: Yamaro Construction Business is Part of Venezuela’s History
From its beginnings, man has tried to solve
everything with his own two hands. Survival instinct has led to the creation of
tools that make daily chores easier. One such tool has become the modern
construction sector, which in turn has become one of the most important
elements in the development and advancement of society.
Construction is directly related to geographical
changes. Without construction businesses, buildings that help and improve
people’s lives would not be possible.
Nations
require buildings to provide social services such as health support in
hospitals, and education in schools.
In Venezuela, for the past 47 years, Yamaro Construction Business has
functioned, a company dedicated to paving streets, constructing buildings,
controlled explosions and otherwise transforming spaces for people’s enjoyment.
Yamaro Construction Business was born from the effort
of two young Italian immigrants, who arrived in Venezuela with great ideas to
expand national legacy.
This is the story of Pascuale Lachini and
Alfonso Mannozzi, who on November 7, 1969, successfully registered a small
company that, since its inception, has been in a constant state of growth, and nowadays
remains one of the country’s most important development tool.
In 1974, the Company
Works independently in Guarico and Apure, constructing small highways.
It
wasn’t until 1984 that they got their first big-scale project: the San Fernando
– Puerto Páez highway.
During the 90s, Yamaro
Construction Business diversifies, acquiring its first asphalt factories,
making them important competitors in the world of highway construction, as well
as a household name when it comes to Venezuelan roads. Some of their work
includes:
- The José Antonio Páez highway, found between Portuguesa and Barinas
- The
Acarigua-Barquisimeto highway
- Lara’s
North Bypass
- Miranda’s
Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho highway.
Yamaro Construction Business reiterates its commitment
to Venezuela, and its refusal to leave the country, as its staff is
convinced that adversities can only be overcome through hard work.
By working
together in good faith, everyone will be able to help the country shine once
again, a dedication that can be seen in their construction of the Mantoa María monument in Barquisimeto.
