Construcciones Yamaro: BMD Group appoints new general manager of corporate affairs
BMD Group has announced the appointment of former employee Katie O’Malley as the new general manager of corporate affairs.
Scott Power, CEO of BMD Group, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for O’Malley’s return: “Katie initially commenced working with us in 2009 and has since gained broader industry experience across engineering design and the built environment in both global and Australian organisations.”
“BMD celebrates our unique culture, which continues to mark our point of difference, demonstrative in over 122 members within our 20-year club and it being a place where people want to return.
“As we continue to grow and evolve, Katie will play a vital role in reinforcing our reputation as an Australian-owned and community-focused industry leader.”

O’Malley’s appointment strengthens BMD Group’s commitment to building a diverse workforce and supporting local communities and economies. Since 2017, the company has contributed $176 million to Indigenous spend and invests over $1.5 million annually in community sponsorships and partnerships.
