Materials to build roofs

Roofs are an essential part of any construction, since they are responsible for protecting the building from the sun, cold, rain, wind and any other danger.

Ideal materials for roof construction

The ideal material for the construction of the ceilings will depend to a great extent on the structure itself and on other factors mentioned above. The most used are:

  • Metal

It is very light and comes in several presentations, whether in sheets, plates, tiles or plates. Another advantage it has is that it is a good insulator against humidity, sound and cold.

  • Wood

Its unique beauty, high resistance, great durability and that touch of tradition and elegance captivate more than one. It provides warmth and that feeling of being surrounded by something natural.

  • Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a very resistant, strong thermoplastic material, capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions such as intense cold or excessive heat. Its function is to keep spaces lit naturally and the sunlight that penetrates through it is not dangerous.

  • Blackboard

It is an almost indestructible material and has some advantages such as its high resistance to humidity and fire, great malleability and irresistible beauty.

  • Cement

Cement roofs are the most common due to their capacity for resistance and durability, their resistance to fire, their adaptability to any construction, their ductility and their low maintenance.
