As part of its social responsibility in building places in Venezuela, Yamaro contributed with the building of the monument Mary's mantle, one of the most important monuments in the country. The work is located in Barquisimeto.
The monument Mary's mantle is considered the biggest Marian structure in the world. Its construction started in July 2014.
Jose Vasquez, an engineer in the construction of this work, said the major challenge when building the monument was to set up the bridge that joins the south and north towers, where the visitors can observe the different cities.
“The bridge was prefabricated in Barquisimeto by Yamaro and spliced up there by the staff, at 60 meters high. It was an engineering and topography challenge”, added Jose Vasquez.
“150 men were directly involved in the work and more than 350 worked indirectly. All of them were directed by the engineer Armando Iachini” - the president of Construcciones Yamaro , who showed dedication and commitment – said Vasquez. Indeed, Vasquez recognized and thanked the excellence work made by the staff responsible for building the monument.
The monument was inaugurated the 13th January of this year. The image is made of aluminum tubing. The work was designed as a religious and touristic attraction.
The construction of this important work shows the excellence and commitment that Yamaro has with the development of Venezuela in terms of innovation in the construction industry.
