Building the project
To honor "La Divina Pastora" (a traditional religious Venezuelan image), today Armando Iachini and Fiorindo Marozzi, both Directors of Construcciones Yamaro CA, have presented the project architects of the work called "Manto de MarĂ­a" (Mary’s Cape), which takes place at the entrance to Barquisimeto in Lara state.

Regarding this topic, Jorge Rodriguez and Orlando Perdomo are the architects responsible for advancing El Mirador de la Divina Pastora, that will have a height of 58 meters. This viewpoint will let the people appreciate the following cities:
  • Barquisimeto
  • Cabudare
  • El Valle del Turbio
  • Part of Yaracuy State.

Beginning the project
This major project – promoted by the Venezuelan Government - will increase tourism in the region, since it is a total of 6 hectares and will also have small green recreation areas, walkways, parks, bike paths and a sanctuary.
On average, the construction of the monument is made in record time of 1 year and a half, since in November 2015 will be ready, but to enjoy this space, visitors must wait for the inauguration to be held on 12 January 2016, as a prelude to the celebration of the 160th anniversary of the Divina Pastora, in the city of Barquisimeto.
